How to install an Agent Skill

Every skill is a single file served at /skills/<name>/SKILL.md. Put it in a folder with the same name inside your agent's skills directory:

FAQ

What are Agent Skills?
Agent Skills are folders with a SKILL.md file — YAML frontmatter with a name and description, followed by instructions — that teach a coding agent a repeatable workflow. The agent sees only the name and description until a task matches, then loads the full instructions.
Do the same skills work in Claude Code, Codex and Cursor?
Yes. Claude Code loads skills from ~/.claude/skills or a project's .claude/skills, OpenAI Codex from ~/.agents/skills or a repo's .agents/skills, and Cursor from .cursor/skills, .agents/skills or the global ~/.cursor/skills and ~/.agents/skills folders — and Cursor also reads Claude and Codex skill folders.
Are these skills free?
Yes. All three skills are free to download, use and modify. A Pro collection with more engineering skills is planned; you can join the waitlist on this page.
How were the skills tested?
Each skill is the written-down version of a workflow we use to build and maintain getaicodingagent.com, and the scripts embedded in them are run against this site's own build.
