Cursor

by Anysphere (part of SpaceX since Aug 2026) · AI IDE, Cloud agent, Code review

Cursor is an AI-native code editor (a fork of VS Code) that combines fast Tab autocomplete, codebase-aware chat and an Agent that makes multi-file changes. It has a free Hobby plan; Pro costs $20/month and Teams $40/user/month.

What is Cursor?

Cursor keeps the familiar VS Code layout, extensions and keybindings but rebuilds the editing loop around AI: Tab predicts your next edit, the Agent plans and applies changes across files, and cloud agents can work on tasks in the background.

Anysphere, the company behind Cursor, became a wholly owned SpaceX subsidiary on August 14, 2026. Teams get Bugbot for agentic PR code review, shared rules and skills, and admin controls. Cursor acquired Supermaven in 2024 (its tech powers Tab) and announced an agreement to acquire Graphite in December 2025.
